Dr. James Li is a Board-Certified Ophthalmologist with a special interest in cataract surgery and lens implant technology. He completed both his medical education and ophthalmology residency at Louisiana State University (LSU) in New Orleans, where he received extensive training in the medical and surgical management of eye disease.

Dr. Li is particularly drawn to cataract surgery because of its ability to restore vision and improve quality of life. He believes patients should receive clear explanations, realistic expectations, and straightforward answers so they can make informed decisions about their eye care.

When discussing cataract surgery and lens implant options, Dr. Li focuses on helping patients understand the benefits and tradeoffs of each choice. His goal is for patients to leave appointments feeling informed, confident, and comfortable with their decisions.

  I was greeted very warmly, and there was no waiting after my appointment time. I was a little early and started filling out the information and before I even finished, I was being called for my appointment. I was seen by several different people who did different tests on my eyes and every single one of them was so nice. I felt like they examined my eyes meticulously. I would absolutely recommend this place for all your eye care. I am a veteran and I usually go to the VA but since they are backlogged, I was able to use Community Care and I am so happy.

  My husband was taken on time, the staff are pleasant and helpful. The Dr is knowledgeable and explains as she goes, the office is very clean. We do miss the coffee and cookies bur understand why they can't have them. My husband has been a patient for 10 plus years and would not go anywhere else.

  Absolutely the best decision I've made in years. I didn't know how bad my vision had become. After years of keeping an eye on my vision it was finally time to do something about it.  And, wow, the would is now much brighter and whiter.  If you require cataract surgery,  I would recommend Dr. Acevedo-Ojeda to anyone.
