With the SLT laser (Selective Laser Trabeculoplasty) specifically, it’s a safe, quick, and non-invasive in-office procedure that uses low-energy laser pulses to improve fluid drainage in the eye. It is commonly used as a first-line treatment for open-angle glaucoma, often reducing or eliminating the need for daily, costlier eye drops.
